LONDON, U.K. -- Three O'clock Ltd. (www.threeoclock.com), a cutting edge mobile phone entertainment company, announces the launch of Three O'clock RAPID, a lighter and low-cost version of their award winning mobile phone magazine tool. RAPID is the long awaited product which will allow small to mid-sized Websites and magazines to deliver their multi-media content via premium SMS to any Java mobile phone and create a further revenue stream for their business.
RAPID (accessed via www.threeoclock.com/rapid) uses the same underlying technology found in the full version of the Three O'clock product and offers the same mobile phone and geographical reach. Many Webmasters, publishers and editors currently shut-out of the mobile arena due to excessive set-up and running costs will now be able to use Three O'clock's RAPID to enter this lucrative market. RAPID allows Webmasters and editors to offer "magazines on a mobile phone" direct from their own Website or publication without any set up fees, contract or hardware investment.
The RAPID service can be delivered to any Java enabled mobile phone, in any country and at any time. Content from publications or Websites is converted into a multi-page, multimedia magazine which will open on all Java mobile/cellular phones. Phone users send a text message (SMS) to a short code to receive the magazine via the wireless network. Webmasters and editors who use RAPID can choose whether or not to charge their customers for the magazine and if so, how much. Three O'clock suggests a retail price of between $1.00 USD and $3.00 USD.
Bradley Ells, Managing Director of Three O'clock, believes that, "The medium sized Web site or magazine is a largely forgotten enterprise when it comes to premium mobile/cellular phone solutions. We have already developed magazines on mobile phones for companies such Electronic Arts (EA Games), Future Publishing, Reebok, and many national newspapers, and we have now streamlined the product so that smaller organizations can also offer mobile phone magazines direct from their Website or publication."
