Christy Gissendaner Begins Writing Career with Release of Her Debut Historical Romance, 'Feels Like Home,' from EeB Publishing

EUFAULA, AL - June 13 -- Christy Gissendaner (www.christygissendaner.com), newly published author of 'Feels Like Home' (ISBN 1-55352-204-4), has lined up an unforeseen four contracts this year in the romance genre. Christy, a graduate of Troy State University, once dreamed of being a doctor, but gave up that dream to become a writer. Shortly after graduation, she completed her first full length manuscript and submitted it. Feels Like Home was accepted for publication by EeB Publishing in August 2003 and recently became available for purchase.
Since contracting her first novel, Christy has received three additional offers in a variety of romance sub-genres. All are scheduled to be released in 2005. In May, she also debuted a contemporary, The Learning Curve, with Triskelion Publishing, which has already offered her a second contract for a new contemporary due in August 2005. She has submitted a fifth manuscript, hoping to bring her total for the year to five releases. Hard at work on her next novel, Christy's burgeoning career as a romance writer seems to be taking flight.
A self-confessed bookworm, Christy gained distinction in elementary school of being the youngest person to ever read Little Women (the unabridged version). She usually has her nose in a book, but she lifted said nose from said book long enough to pen her debut novel, Feels Like Home, in which she is able to combine two of her favorite subjects...history and romance.
