NEW YORK, NY - Book Expo America - June 3 -- RJ Communications, a New York based publishing services company, announced today the launch of Publishing Basics Radio, a program aimed at educating the fast growing self-publishing market. The show's subtitle, "Helping you navigate the self publishing minefield," says it all. Publishing Basics Radio is hosted by Ron Pramschufer, a 35-year industry professional with a penchant for plain, straight talk. The show is available at www.WBJBRadio.com where it is streamed on-demand. The program is also Nanocasted to a community of over 20,000 aspiring authors, self -publishers and industry professionals and is available for download to iPods.
The program will be showcased during Book Expo America, June 3-5 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York in Booth 1702.
"If Bill O'Reilly did a talk show for authors and publishers, it would probably sound like this," said Ron Pramschufer, host of the program and co-founder of RJ Communications. "The bottom line is the publishing industry is a rough place if you are inexperienced and uninformed. The goal of the program is to give authors and publishers the insights they need to avoid the big mistakes," said Pramschufer.
The first program features an interview with Dave Maturo, former Financial VP of Xlibris, a major Print on Demand (POD) publishing company. The program delves into the not so public, behind the scenes, realities of the multi-billion dollar vanity publishing industry.
Future programs will explore all aspects of publishing as it pertains primarily to the first time publisher. Education and creating consumer awareness will be the ultimate goal. A new program will air weekly on Fridays.
The program is produced by Emmy award winner, Errol Smith of Jackstreet Media. "Our goal is to work with companies that are committed to being leaders in their market segment. RJ Communications is a leading service provider with a strong track record of success. We're very pleased to develop this program with them," said Errol Smith, Founder of Jackstreet Media and the Nanocasting business model.
