LOS ANGELES, CA /Publishers Newswire/ -- Soap star Philece Sampler (Days of Our Lives, Another World, Rituals) has partnered with former Playgirl managing editor Charlene Keel to launch Tantalizing Tales (www.TantalizingTales.com). The e-publishing venture, announced by the new business duo, presents Keel's previously published books - uncut and uncensored, with steamy new scenes added-in electronic format.
Keel's titles include The Sky's The Limit, I'll Do Anything, and Come Slowly Eden, which was once banned in the author's hometown.
"It's fiction based on rumors that have circulated in northwest Florida for years," says Keel. "One of my characters, a coed at Florida State University, is working her way through school as a prostitute with clients that include state legislators and city politicos."
After Keel appeared on a Tallahassee TV talk show during the book's initial release in 1975, there was such a high demand for it that the local distributor finally (and reluctantly) put it on the shelves.
Other titles offered on the site include Fourplay Girls (a collection of short stories first published in Playgirl) by Cajun Faun & Lynne Osborne, Stripper-My Life And Times, the autobiography of a striptease artist, The Lodestone, a historical romance by Kathryn Fairfax-and coming soon, Mordred And The King, a medieval fantasy by John Michael Curlovich. The Sky's The Limit is Keel's comedic autobiography recounting her career as a TWA flight attendant.
"It's no secret that e-book sales are exploding," says Sampler, whose memorable two-day diatribe made soap opera history when her character, Renee DiMera was killed off Days of Our Lives. "And in addition to e-books for sale, we offer a free e-zine section."
E-zine departments include Passionate Places (romantic travel), Passionate Picks (products to enhance romance), Sexy Serials, where new books are presented as continuing stories with a chapter added every month, and Show & Tail (hunky actors, male models and celebrity gossip). Controversial comedienne Robbyne Kaamil, who has been compared to Whoopi Goldberg and who has traded quips with the likes of Howard Stern, has been named entertainment editor of the e-zine section.
"Most of the novels we offer contain sensual scenes, but they're not hard core," adds Keel, the only editor in Playgirl history to have been fired and then hired back. "We also offer mainstream fiction and we're actively seeking submissions in all genres. Adults interested in reading sizzling love stories will enjoy http://www.TantalizingTales.com."
